Currently, many sports fans are enjoying the 50th Olympics edition. Even though the event has just started, it sounds like a lot has already happened. Yes, you’ve sensed it correctly, I’m not much of a sports fan, so I don’t follow the Games at all. I look forward to hearing the wrap up on the news sometime during my day, but nevertheless, there’s one interesting side to the Olympics: The music that comes with it.
Of course, I should be highlighting Katy Perry’s official Olympics anthem, “Rise”, for which she’s just released an official video a few days ago. The video is as grand as the song. The song already reminded me of a great soundtrack song for a movie. It’s got that kind of feel about it: It’s a statement, but it’s also slow and athletes need some action… so they have actually favored another song; one much older.
