With those Doc Martens lying in every shoe store again, I can’t help but think back to my first celebrity crush. With his blue jeans, white T-shirts, leather jackets and Doc Martens, Matt Goss caught my eye.
At that time, he was a member of Bros, which for me marked my first experience with a so-called boyband. Needless to say, I wasn’t alone in crushing over his blue eyes and blond hair. There were many Brosettes, who would also wear the same outfits and, beyond a doubt, Matt was their very favorite.
Like many teen boybands, Bros came, conquered and dissolved in a matter of a few years. Altogether, they released three albums, from which the last two I still play once a year. Luke Goss is now a successful actor, usually playing bad guys in Hollywood movies and Matt Goss has managed to get a successful solo career in music, including a long term residency in Las Vegas.
