It’s already 17 years ago, when Another Level were supporting Janet Jackson on her European tour after storming the charts, a year earlier, with their Silk cover “Freak Me”. They were poised for big success – even receiving BRIT Awards nominations and working with a lot of big names in Hip Hop (Jay Z, TQ). However, in 2000, it all came to a full stop when the group split.
Another Level on Facebook
After numerous attempts to reunite over the years, an official announcement of a comeback, without Wayne Williams, was given at the end of 2014, followed by a loud silence until two weeks ago. An Official Facebook Page was created for the group. So far, on the page, they’re only reminiscing of the time they’ve had. Uploading many of their old videos and album releases.
More To Come?
It does look like it is a sign of more to come though. They are currently being representing by an established booking agency and last Friday, a new greatest hits collection was released, “Freak Me – The Collection”. It looks like Another Level are using their old hits to pave the way for new ones.
