Uber is very aware of the fact that many Uber drivers combine their Uber work with a secondcareer. In locations, such as Los Angeles, it’s easy to assume, that these “other” careers could be in arts and entertainment, so Uber has decided to celebrate the creatives with the #UberARTIST Campaign. It’s a great campaign shining the light on some of the hidden talents of your Uber drivers.
Here’s the original blog that I wrote:
Uber launches UberARTIST campaign to celebrate creative Uber drivers
Uber is very aware of the fact that many Uber drivers combine their Uber work with another career. In locations, such as Los Angeles, it’s easy to assume, that these “other” careers could be in arts and entertainment, so Uber has decided to celebrate the creatives.
Just a few days before International Artist Day (which is on October 25th) Uber has launched UberARTIST, a campaign containing a series of special events in Los Angeles, that showcase many of their various arts partners and creative Uber drivers.
All events are open to the public and, best of all, they are free!
The first events are an Art Show on October 27th and a Music Showcase on October 28th. Space is limited, so make sure you reserve your spot! To find out more about the artists, you can check out Uber’s announcement.
If you can’t make it to these events, don’t worry, Uber will be organizing more events in the next coming weeks.
Also, in order to celebrate the stories and art from Uber drivers with new audiences, Uber has teamed up with Society6 and will be bringing you a special pop up art experience Saturday, October 24.
The pop up art experience will feature work and free gear from various LA artists and Uber drivers. If you want to find out where you need to go Saturday, open the Uber app between 11am and 8pm and look for ARTIST at the bottom of your screen. If the art gallery is close to where you are, you will get the exact location send back to you. Have fun!
