Fergie

Fergie blog

Last year, it looked like Fergie was really coming back. She dropped “M.I.L.F.$” and a couple of trailers. There were reports of her filming videos across Europe while attending fashion shows and she even started doing a couple of really impressive live performances. However, her momentum quickly faded, until she, recently, picked up the visual impression she started last year.

Double Vision

I guess good things come to those who wait. It’s been about a decade, since her last album and even though she’s released new songs, along the way, fans are impatient.

So, she dropped a new visual, “Double Dutchess: Double Vision”, announcing her comeback, later this month. She has to come back with a bang, something spectacular making up for the long wait, something Fergalicious. The best way to do it, is to take a hint from Beyoncé and release a visual album. The album drops on September 22nd.

Hungry For New Fergie Songs

The promo is definitely intriguing and a bit of a trip. Visually, I do like what I see, but it all reminds me a lot of those videos backdrops. You know, the ones artists show at their concerts. In particular the video for her track “Hungry”, with Rick Ross, looks and sounds like that.

It’s just not a song I would play on Spotify or hear on the radio, but it fills that space during a costume change in a concert. I like “You Already Know” with Nicki Minaj better. That takes me back to the early days of hip hop and I find this track a lot easier to get into.
