Pentatonix and Demi Lovato have been going head to head this week with their latest album releases.

Demi Lovato’s “Confident” and the selftitled Pentatonix album are each going towards sales of 86,000 in the US and later today, we’ll know exactly who has won this battle as the deadline will close on the Billboard 200.
For Lovato, this is actually a slow first week. Her last album sold a whopping 113,000 copies in the first week of release. Also making her number one then.
Pentatonix
Pentatonix have only released a Christmas album before, which sold 32,000 copies in its first week and started to sell more towards the holidays. It’s easy to conclude that their original material has been well received. Currently, they seem to be winning.
