Mariah Carey has been under fire for a long time. Videos of her missing notes, not singing live or simply cooking up strange stuff, seem to be hitting the social media scene more than anything positive happening with her career. But even on the eve of the lady’s premier at The Colosseum of Caesars Palace leaked sound footage of her rehearsals silenced critics. She’s vocally strong and hits all her high notes during rehearsals and again on the night itself. Which again, sparked rumours of her using tape on one of her old tracks…. oh well, can’t win them all.
It’s safe to say that Mariah Carey has had a successful debut in Vegas. With her show she steps back in time, complete with frizzy hair to bring you back to the early days and to today. With an impressive setlist of 18 of her greatest hits all parts of her career have a spot in the show. And even Mariah Carey will walk the aisle to meet the audience in person during her show. Sounds like all the ingredients of a long stay in Vegas.
And because she’s in the neighbourhood anyway, Mariah Carey will now also perform at the Billboard awards, held in MGM Vegas. The last time she performed there was 17 years ago.
