When you’re creative you tend to be creative in many areas. Just recently I ran an article on Vanilla Ice having designed furniture and now Lenny Kravitz is doing the same.

Kravitz started a company in 2003 called Kravitz design and has already been responsible for designing the interior of the stunning Queen Latifah Show set. His style is easy recognizable throughout most of his projects, in use of colour, materials and overall look and feel. It’s undeniable that the rock star has got good taste and is able to make a 70s look completely contemporary.

In extension to his design portfolio he will now bring his style to CB2. The two companies will be collaborating and releasing a joint line on October 1st 2015, which will feature 20 pieces of furniture. All pieces are highly inspired by the 70s New York night club scene, which is style you can already preview on the Kravitz Design website. Kravitz has already had experience in customizing furniture and doing some product design, but this will be his first full line.

His book

Lenny’s eye for composition doesn’t stop there

Design and music are not the only things Kravitz has taken on creatively.
In March of this year, he also released his first book, not as a writer, but as a photographer. Even though he doesn’t see himself as a professional photographer, he is captivated, like many of us, by the possibilities that photography offers. As a result, he’s taken photos of the people he’s seen during his travels and who’ve taken his picture. The book is a collection of those photos.
