On New Year’s Eve Kanye West dropped his new track “Facts”, in a clean and explicit version, on his Soundcloud account.
Other than a few collaborations last year, he hadn’t released any solo music for a while, so this has been long awaited by his fans. He even refers to this in the lyrics, mentioning that he hadn’t dropped an album, but his sneakers went platinum instead.
In the track, he’s not only name dropping a lot, but he’s also referring to a lot of recent events, like the accusations Bill Cosby has been facing for months and Steve Harvey’s mistake at the Miss Universe competition, where he announced the runner up as the winner.
As usual, West also leaves room for a few mentions towards his home front and sounds extremely serious about his run for president in 2020.
