Janet Jackson opens world tour and reveals new tracks

On Monday night Janet Jackson opened her seventh world tour in Vancouver, Canada. The tour is to support the new album “Unbreakable” to be released this month. The tour and album is expected to be her major come back, but in the US, the first single “No Sleeeep“, released in July, failed to bring back the expected success.

Nevertheless, it has been reported that tickets for important locations of her “Unbreakable” tour, like the show in LA, are being sold on the secondary market for an average of $500! Goes to show, the lady has still got the rhythm to hold a nation. This is definitely something her fanbase will confirm as fans have actively been sharing their excitement about seeing the show in Vancouver. Janet gets praise for her dance skills, live vocals and performance on social media. The show itself is high energy, with the occasional breaks, and Janet provides what you would expect from her: All her hits and a lot of dancers! Still, there are some reviews stating that the show does not fully live up to the shows she did during her most successful era. Apparently there are no costume changes and no major stage settings.

During her opening show Monday, Janet also revealed the title track of the album and another track with Missy Elliot rumoured to be called “Burn It Up”, which is also used to kick off the show with:
