Get prepared to be “Knocked Out” by Rojay

Published August 27th 2015

Amongst all the upcoming new talent there’s always room for a comeback kid. Rojay Griffith (pronounced as Ro-shay) is no stranger to the music business. Having had success as part of an R&B group in the late 90s he’s been around the block. He worked with great names like Will Campbell, Paul Stewart, The Co-Stars and Demetrious Spencer before taking a break from the music business and preparing his next move.

Now, after developing his skills further in singing and songwriting, while performing regularly for the past few years, he’s got a solid fanbase behind him. Like many other artists, he now has selected his own team to keep control over his career, both creatively and in business. He’s now given us a taste of what’s to come and released his first track. The song is called “Knocked Out”.

For those familiar with his past as a member of DeAnte, “Knocked Out” will remind you of the group’s debut album. Rojay’s recognizable vocals staple the sound of that album and are a welcomed sound to hear again to those fans annually asking the group to return. His delivery has developed further since, even though the first verse is undeniably Rojay as we know him.

For those new to Rojay, “Knocked Out” is just a little taste of what’s yet to come. His album ”Out Of The Blue” contains different styles of music, still driven by his signature harmonies. While R&B is still very much the genre to discribe him, you can tell that some of the big pop ballads and club tracks have also had an effect on his writing.

Currently some radio stations worldwide have picked up “Knocked Out” for rotation and Rojay is touring the world doing promotion for the track. If you’d like to hear more, check out his MTV page (link can be found below).
