It was quiet for far too long surrounding this talented UK singer, originally called Adele Sandé, but went by her middle name, Emeli, instead to avoid confusion with the other Adele.
Her debut album, “Our Version Of Events”, stems from 2012 and sold 1 million copies in the UK. It spawned a trail of hit singles and the audience has been patiently awaiting the follow up album.
The second album was supposed to be released in the same week as Adele’s album “25”, but she postponed that for obvious reasons. Again, working around Adele.
In the meantime, Emeli has taken the opportunity to sign with Jay Z’s Roc Nation for her management and take the extra time to finalize her album even further. As I said before, you are never done with a song.
Two song titles have already been revealed from the new album, “Do Not Fight The Bullet” and “All We Really Have Is Now”, but the name of the album itself is still unknown.
There’s bound to be a release of something soon, because the singer is set to perform in New York on Valentine’s Day.
