Bon Jovi to release make up album

Published February 7th 2016

Bon Jovi found itself in a strange position last year with their record company, of 32 years, Mercury Records. The band still had one album to release on the label, and couldn´t agree on new terms to continue with Mercury. That always leads to one particular situation: An album release without any promotion. I mean, why would a label invest in an album of a band that’s leaving?

Burning Bridges

So, if you’ve missed the last Bon Jovi album, released in the summer of last year, you’re not alone. The album was led by one single “We Don’t Run”. But only the real fans knew about all of this, which is why they call it a `fan album´.

The album was intended to keep everyone happy. But the title really said it all: “Burning Bridges”. It was exactly what the group was doing, by parting ways with the label and it being the first album after Richie Sambora’s departure.

In fact, the title song from the album actually explained exactly what the situation with the label was. The band felt a stab in the back and made it very clear in the lyrics of the song.

This House Is Not For Sale

“Burning Bridges” was not a proper album, and Bon Jovi admitted to it. They’d already mentioned the album contained half-finished songs to get away from the label as quickly as possible , so recently, it has been confirmed that a new album is in the works to correct this.

The new album is scheduled for release in March and will be called “This House Is Not For Sale”. What’s very interesting about this news, is that no one knows who their new label is…
