Adele tickets sell for over $1600 now

Published December 5th 2015

It’s a day after tickets for Adele’s 2016 world tour went on sale across Europe. All dates are sold out. Most dates were sold out within 3 to 20 minutes after the presale started.

Adele is a hot commodity and no one knows it better than her team. They’ve planned her comeback carefully and there’s not been a day without Adele news. The big objective has been to cash in, and who can blame her?

The album, “25”, has been selling like mad. It’s even getting people, who haven’t bought a cd in ages, back to the stores. Even sometimes having to look for which stores actually sell the cd at all, as music stores are not exactly around anymore.

But, if anyone could do it, it’s Adele, so it’s not a surprise her presale is also very well planned. As soon as the first rounds of concerts were sold out, a second round was announced. Tickets for that will go on sale on Monday. That didn’t stop a secondary wave of ticket sales soaring.

At the end of the day, yesterday, tickets for the shows in Amsterdam, were being offered on bidding websites for a minimum bid of $16oo!

Adele and her team have come up with a plan to try stop ticket scalpers though. In the UK, it has been announced that any tickets appearing on secondary websites would be cancelled. This could mean you spend a fortune on your ticket, and not even get in. Adele´s strategy has had praise as well as criticism, as you could imagine.
