Silk review

I’ve been writing about many comebacks from 90s, early 2000s, R&B groups, but not many articles and blogs have triggered as much of a response as a retweet I’ve given about an interview with, 90s R&B group, Silk.

Silk broke through commercially with “Freak Me”, later also covered by UK boyband Another Level. The song made it to the regular charts, internationally and got the group out and about, touring the world. After, their success continued on the R&B charts.

The group has officially never quit, so it’s hard to really speak of a comeback, but they haven’t released any new music since 2006. The only, related music, since comes from Gary Jenkins, otherwise known as Lil G. He has been part of the super group Blayse, formed with former members from Blackstreet and Az Yet.
