I wandered into my office on Monday morning feeling pretty tired. Basically, the only thing that got me in the office was that I knew about a few tracks I wanted to consider for reviewing or just writing about. Last on my list was “Pep Rally”, a new track uploaded yesterday by Missy Elliott.
4.22 Minutes later: OK, I´M AWAKE!
Count on Missy to get you all fired up to do shit. “Rep Rally” really gets you going. She gets into the role of coach awfully well and it’s a party banger from A-Z.
It’s no accident this track was dropped on the day of the Super Bowl. The link to sports and the sheer mention of the Super Bowl was no doubt, irresistible to her team to not let it coincide.
