Lady Antebellum review

It’s All Good To Me

Have you ever seen one of those signs in the waiting room of a doctor’s office or at the dentist that says that great care takes time. It thanks you for your patience. Some bands also take their time in between hits, but then when the hits come you get reminded of why they were pretty good in the first place. Lady Antebellum is one of those bands for me.

They caught my attention last week, when someone played me “You Look Good” without telling me who it was by. It’s their latest single and I was actually surprised that it’s been out for several months. I think it’s such a great song for the Spring season. With Summer coming slowly in sight, and perhaps some summer holiday flirts on the horizon, this song embodies the anticipation.

It’s a pop-rock song that kind of reminds me of a little bit of blues, somehow. I would categorize it with other great summer songs to play when you are cruising in your car with the sunshine pouring down on your face. Songs like Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long” come to mind, which was so based on “Sweet Home Alabama” (I think by Lynyrd Skynyrd, but am not actually sure. It was before my time).
