From start to finish, this dance track is like a text book dance hit. It’s meeting all the requirements of a real dance anthem, with the exception that the lyrics are more vulnerable than your average “Titanium”.
“How To Love” tells the story of someone finding their way in love. In the being alone and in the dating itself.
For many years, most up-tempo dance songs have been all about empowerment. It’s like only the other side of dance music, electronica like Massive (Attack), was allowed to sound frail, sensitive and vulnerable, but I’m quite glad to see it seep through to the radio hits now.
With Sofia Reyes on vocals, the track is a bit of a mix between the airiness of Ellie Goulding and strong vocals like Sia. It’s intriguing.
