I thought I’d just slow it down for my last blog this weekend and it’s the first time I have chosen a remix for a blog topic. Kelly Rowland has uploaded a remix of “Do Like That” to her Soundcloud and it’s the perfect slow jam for the weekend.
The song is actually by Korede Bello, an Akon soundalike, and features Kelly, which is such an asset to have, because this lady is able to lift any song to a higher level. This one included.
As I said, it is perfect for the weekend, especially at the beginning of the weekend, so my timing is actually a bit off. In the beginning, the shout outs, I thought it was going to be a smooth R&B ballad, reminiscent of Chantay Savage’s rendition of “I Will Survive”, but just when I thought that’s the direction it was going to take, the song turns a different corner.
