Jeremih

Jeremih blog

I usually try to write about the latest release by an artist, and I had already planned to write about a song that had caught my attention earlier in the week. Jeremih had released a great track, “I Think Of You”, in collaboration with Chris Brown and Big Sean. The track reminds me a little of Montell Jordan’s “Get It On Tonite”, but the music is updated to today’s music, as you would expect from Jeremih. The video reminds me of Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” video, due to Chris, Jeremih and Sean trying to impress a girl while singing the song. But neither comparison is fully valid, because the song is an original track.

Jeremih has since also released a new EP, “Cinco De MihYo”. According to the artist himself, he whipped up this EP in just 24 hours after getting inspired by the celebration of Cinco de Mayo. I think it just shows that creativity is at its height when you are relaxed, but still, I think it’s pretty impressive that he has put this together in just one day.

The EP contains 5 tracks. The first three give a lead role to the Spanish guitar and contain other Spanish influences. It’s a really refreshing sound that proves, once more, why Jeremih is such a respected artist, who’s been making waves right from the day he started.
