Swedish singer-songwriter Léon is at the most ideal starting place an artist could be to launch her solo career. She’s had a hand in writing a few of the biggest pop hits of recent times, like Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” and has the full endorsement of Katy Perry.
Her single, “I Think About You”, follows her debut EP (“Treasure”) and has already been a featured track on many important media outlets, like Teen Vogue online and various radio stations. It’s only a matter of time before the audience will catch up and even that, is starting to happen.
“I Think About You” has managed to mix a range of styles in one pop song. Her deep voice, at the beginning of the track, has a bit of that dreaminess of Lana Del Rey, but the melody she sings and the intonation of it, reminds me of the feel of Bieber’s dance tracks.
