I have to be honest. I would not have seen this video if it weren’t for me having a non inspirational moment combined with a blog deadline. It’s just not often that I listen to songs I can’t understand. I think it goes without saying, as a writer, that I am very focused on stories, lyrics etc. So when a foreign language comes in, I feel I’m missing something major.
Even though I’d seen this track “Chantaje”, by Shakira featuring Maluma show up a couple of times. It already had hit number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs, but still I never clicked it before. Until today.
I actually don’t I have really been missing anything major with this song before clicking it. It’s just your average pop song. Catchy and lots of auto-tune, which even I could potentially learn to sing along with.
