If anyone had an unexpected comeback, recently, it is Craig David. It’s not all that long ago, when I wondered what happened to him and wrote about him for my own website. Just a few months after I had written that nothing really looked set to happen with him, he got rediscovered. Twitter blew up, the moment he freestyled on the radio. And within a blink of an eye, Craig David reminded us of what we were missing.
It’s the easiest comeback I’ve seen happen in a long time, and mind you, I’m keeping a watchful eye on many comeback attempts. But there’s been no announcements, teasers, aggressive campaigning. It was just that one appearance that put him on the map, and if I may believe the radio DJ, it even was a spur of the moment appearance.
