It’s not often I get to write about two Swedish acts in one week. Earlier, I wrote about ABBA returning to the stage for a one off private affair. This time, I’m writing about another party of 4, also making a very unexpected return.
Ace Of Base made their entrance onto the pop scene early 90s. They were on the wave of europop and in the lead of mixing it with a reggae sound. They were also at the start of the successful time ahead for producer Denniz Pop, who went on to work with Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys, after Ace of Base had put the focus of the music world back on Sweden.
Their fame took over the world, which, after two or three years, abruptly seemed to come to an end.
