When “Opera Noir” was announced by Timbaland in 2013, no one could’ve predicted it would be one of those projects that would change so much on the way to its release. In an attempt to make this album as personal as it can get, Timbaland has changed the concept a few times. Now, it’s become clear why. “Opera Noir” will be his last album.

Just a few days after P. Diddy announced his final album, Timbaland released a statement that his last album will also be turned into a musical to provide closure to his successful career.
The TV musical will tell the story of a young man trying to break into the music business and it will feature all of the struggles he encounters on his journey. This includes fighting with all the temptations of drugs and crime.
Leftfield Productions will be collaborating with the hit songwriter on this project, which could be a one off special event or a TV series.
Opera Noir
Over the last three years, a few songs from the album have already been released and many snippets have been shared on Instagram. An official release date is still unclear, but with a musical hitting production soon, it can’t be too long now.
