Nick Carter returns to solo work and duets Avril Lavigne

This year, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter seemed destined to win the US Dancing With The Stars, but he didn’t. However, he’s used all this free publicity around the show to launch his solo album.

All American Backstreet Boy

Today, his album, “All American” was released, as well as a second single, a duet with Avril Lavigne called “Get Over Me”. The two met while being on tour together and this collaboration followed.

Rock Meets Pop

The song is a rock influence up-tempo pop song. It sounds like the mainstream pop you would expect from any commercial, radio friendly pop singer.

I Will Wait

“Get Over Me” was preceded by “I Will Wait”. This was the first single from his album, dedicated to his wife who’s expecting their first child. It’s a different side of Nick Carter. The song is sweet, sensitive and slow; almost like a lullaby.

Now Or Never

In 2002, Nick released his first solo album, “Now or Never”, followed by a second album in 2011, “I’m Taking Off”.

Before “All American”, he also released a full album collaboration with NKOTB member Jordan Knight entitled “Nick & Knight”. The idea of this came when the two were touring as NKOTBSB. Nick definitely is making some interesting moves.

Tour

In February 2016, Nick will take the “All American” album on tour.

Keep up with Nick Carter
