The US had come to a complete stand still yesterday, as the 50th edition of the Super Bowl took place. The event has grown out to be one of the biggest events of the year and attracts the biggest stars and brands in both performances, as well as the commercial ad breaks on TV.
Lady Gaga’s Patriotism
Last weekend Lady Gaga was invited to sing the national anthem before the game. Her social media timeline showed her patriotic heart. Throughout the day she was sharing pictures of her clothes and make up, all carrying references to the flag and the anthem’s lyrics.
As Impressive As Whitney Houston
Then, yesterday, Lady Gaga nailed it. She gave away an impressive rendition of America’s National Anthem, which, according to the responses of the press, put hers up there with Whitney Houston’s legendary performance years ago.
Vocally As Flexible As Her Hair
When I saw the response to the performance, I obviously had to check it out myself and indeed, just when I thought I was pretty familiar with Gaga, she’s impressed me even more. I think it’s amazing how her voice adapts itself to every genre she takes on. It’s like she’s a vocal chameleon, but don’t take my word for it. Check out the performance yourself.
