Is Madonna’s Rebel Heart getting out of hand?

Published January 18th 2016

During her “Rebel Heart” tour Madonna is running into the same criticism everywhere she goes. Not one concert has started on time and fans have been speaking out about it in huge numbers on social media, which gives press enough incentive to write negative toned stories about it ahead to her arrival in to a new town.

Louisville (US) was looking forward to the show yesterday, during the day, but in the evening the good vibe had turned. Fans started taking to Twitter to tell the world Madonna was at least 2.5 hours late starting her show and the show was full of little mishaps.

In a video posted on YouTube, Madonna is seen apologizing to the audience for mistaking the city she was in, calling Louisville Oklahoma, and explaining how she was having an off day. Apparently, she had made mistakes in her choreography and words as well, among a few other things.

I don’t see much difference in her ways. Watching these videos and having been at one of her shows in Amsterdam, she has used the same tone of voice in her speeches and yes, they could be taken in many ways (funny or arrogant), but I wasn’t there last night. People who were have been wondering if she was under the influence of alcohol.

It is The Rebel Heart Tour and you can expect she would be trying to rattle up your chain, during this tour, which is her MO anyway.

Madonna herself has not responded to the concert’s backlash today, but she did post a tell all social media post right at the end of the show.

Knowing Madonna to be a perfectionist, I think it’s safe to say that she herself was not too happy with how the show went and must be glad to moving on the next city now.

On a personal level, you could think that the situation with her son Rocco is beginning to take its toll on the Queen of Pop. Rocco left the tour in order to stay with his dad instead, which has turned into a custody battle for Madonna and Guy Ritchie. I’m sure she’s having a tougher time than usual to keep it together.
