If you thought that old fashion rock ‘n’ roll was gone, then let Elton John surprise you with his new single “Looking Up”.

For Elton John, the new material has marked a few musical reunions. He’s returned to Island Records and some old bandmates. And he’s also returned to co-produce his current music with Joseph Henry “T Bone” Burnett, who’s worked with him on his 2010 and 2013 albums.

“Looking Up” has been released last Friday and shows that he hasn’t lost his piano riffs yet. In fact, T Bone Burnett already let it slip earlier that Elton John’s new material would be beautiful.

A new album was announced, due for release February 5th 2016. The album will be called “Wonderful Crazy Nights” and will continue the upbeat sound “Looking Up” has revealed now. It’ll be his 33rd studio album.

The songs on the album are:

“Wonderful Crazy Night”
“In the Name of You”
“Claw Hammer”
“Blue Wonderful”
“I’ve Got 2 Wings”
“A Good Heart”
“Looking Up”
“Guilty Pleasure”
“Tambourine”
“The Open Chord”
“Free and Easy” (deluxe version bonus track)
“England and America” (deluxe version bonus track)

It seems like Elton John definitely has something to be upbeat about, besides new music coming out. He has also purchased a new home in Beverly Hills for $33 million and has some important gigs coming up.

He’ll be headlining the Royal Variety Show this year, together with One Direction, and he’ll be having his own major show in the summer of 2016. His concert at the Lincolnshire Showground is selling out quickly. However, if you can’t wait or you can’t make it to that concert, he is currently touring all across the globe.
