Songwriter and producer Bryan Michael Cox has been around for a few years now and has written many hits for others, like Mary J Blige, Danity Kane, Mariah Carey, Jagged Edge, Usher and Chris Brown. It’s earned him 9 Grammy awards and an additional 14 Grammy nominations.
As prolific as he is, he’s also working on a few projects of his own. Alongside of his writing and production work, he’s frequently hired as a studio musician, speaker and works as a DJ as well.
On his instagram account, he recently announced that he’ll be dropping a mixtape soon, filled with ballads, which has been hinted to include previously unreleased tracks from his days as a member of R&B super group Day26. In 2008 the group also included Diddy and Mario Winans in the line-up. They had dropped a debut album and a couple of singles, but quickly after, each member went back to their own projects.
The #slowjamtape, as he’s currently promoting it, doesn’t have a release date yet, but is announced to be coming soon.
