Beyoncé rearranges management team like a boss

Published February 6th 2016

Beyoncé seems to have it all as an artist. After taking a year off, a few years ago, she took control over her own management for which she created Parkwood Entertainment. She is the company’s main client, but Beyoncé also signed The Bailey Sisters to be represented by her team last year.

Still, being the boss lady, also means you have to make some tough decisions

Reorganization

So, last year Beyoncé’s reorganized her management firm. Employees were informed about her reorganization plans and everyone had the opportunity to find new roles within the new setup.

Some people left, including long-term general manager, Lee Anne Callahan-Longo. She is replaced by marketing executive Steve Pamon – previously in charge over JC Penny’s sports and entertainment marketing. They previously worked together, when he got Chase Bank to sponsor Beyoncé and Jay Z’s joint concert tour.

Over the period of a year, Beyoncé plans to extend her management firm with new departments – keeping focus on a mixture of tech and musical entrepreneurship. Now, with Pamon as COO now, it’s expected she’s seeking better business deals to further her career.

Parkwood Entertainment

With Beyoncé spending so much time in Los Angeles, it’ll be easier for her to illogical to have the management move from New York to LA, so Billboard suspects that this is probably the reason behind all these changes.

New Music?

Usually, when an artist makes these kind of changes, it’s a sign something big is coming and of course, many are hoping for a new album. Shall she surprise us again or plan it this time? What do you think?

In the meantime, she’ll do her second Super Bowl halftime show as she’s a guest of Coldplay, this Sunday. Bruno Mars is also confirmed as a special guest.

Update

Just a few hours after publication of the above Beyonce dropped a new song! Here’s “Formation”.
